Where does my photo go?
Nowhere. The HEIC file is decoded by a small program that runs in your browser tab. Doppelshot never receives it.
Does the JPG lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so the file is re-encoded once at 92% quality: the difference is invisible for photos. Pixel dimensions are kept.
Why does my iPhone take HEIC photos?
HEIC keeps the same quality at about half the size of a JPG. You can switch the camera to JPG under Settings, Camera, Formats, Most Compatible.
Can I convert HEIC to PNG instead?
