What resolution do I get?
The input is bounded to 1536 pixels on its longest side, so 2x gives about 7 megapixels, 3x about 16 and 4x about 28: A4, A3 and A2 at 200 dpi or more.
Does it invent details?
A little, and that is the point. The model (Clarity upscaler) is tuned to stay close to the original: skin, hair and fabric come out sharper, not different.
Why not just resize?
Resizing spreads the same pixels over more space and looks soft in print. The upscaler adds real detail. The free resizer is right for making photos smaller.
Can I upscale an upscaled photo again?
No, one pass is the limit: a second pass adds little and would cost you credits for nothing.
